Who We Are
Golden Athletics is a multi-sport competitive and enrichment athletic club focusing on soccer and track and field. We devote our energy into developing the mind, the body, and the person. We don’t want our athletes to just be better on the field or on the track—we want them to be better people in the world.
When a child steps onto the field or the track at a Golden Athletics practice, they know exactly what is expected of them. They know they need to put their best foot forward, and that they are part of a culture built entirely on hard work, discipline, accountability, respect, and fun. Here, athletes don't just follow directions; they learn how to become truly self-motivated.
Mission
Golden Athletics exists to ensure that athletes receive elite athletic training paired with intentional life mentorship. We believe that critical life skills, principles, morals, and values are forged through athletic competition—and that those traits should be directly applied to daily life in school, at work, and at home.
While we are entirely committed to developing elite players, we are equally committed to developing great people.
Becoming a great competitor takes more than just skill development. To truly reach the next level, you must train your mind. You must learn how to read the game, how to strategize, and how to be mentally tough. You must learn how to persevere, how to work when nobody is watching, and how to outwork your opponent every single day.
At Golden Athletics, the little things matter. The hard work matters. You don't just show up to a game or a meet and perform—you have to earn it. It isn't just going to come to you.
Principles
1. Faith - Providing a spiritual foundation that inspires purpose and resilience throughout the athletic journey.
2. Integrity - Maintaining a standard of honesty and strong moral principles that defines the program’s reputation.
3. Family - Recognizing and supporting the parents, siblings, and guardians whose dedication enables the athlete to compete and succeed.
4. Respect - Upholding the dignity of the game by showing regard for officials, opponents, and the supporting community.
5. Discipline - Mastering the self-control and consistency necessary to execute high-level training and tactical demands.
6. Accountability - Requiring every individual to take full responsibility for their role and their impact on the team’s performance.
7. Effort - Demanding a relentless work ethic as the non-negotiable requirement for reaching peak athletic potential.
The Golden Standard
After just one season under our umbrella, an athlete will deeply understand what it means to be a hard worker. They will know exactly what it takes to get to the next level, and they will leave us with the internal drive to always strive to be the best in anything they decide to take on in life.
Meet the Founder
Christian M. Randolph
Athletic excellence isn't something you're simply born with—it is something you forge through discipline, focus, and a relentless commitment to the little things.
My journey in competitive sports began at age five in Roanoke, Virginia. Growing up playing soccer in an environment that produced top MLS talent—including MLS number-one draft picks—I was highly competitive from day one. Winning mattered to me, and I always wanted to be the best on the field. But early on, I realized my strengths weren’t in flashy tricks or perfect ball mastery; my forte was raw speed, sprinting, and finishing.
I learned early that if I wanted to separate myself, I had to work when nobody was watching. I spent my summers kicking a soccer ball against a wall with my left foot, over and over again, until my off-foot became a dominant weapon in real game situations. That obsession with repetition and detail paid off. At William Fleming High School, I earned a varsity roster spot as a sophomore, eventually winning multiple Blue Ridge District Championships.
From Raw Speed to National Competitor
It wasn’t until my junior year of high school that friends convinced me to try track and field. I was completely raw, lacking formal sprint mechanics, but I had the engine. In my very first indoor 55-meter dash, I clocked a 6.82. That season, our team went on to win the Indoor State Championship—the first time our school had captured the title in over 50 years.
Because of my work ethic and organization, my coaches granted me the unique privilege of being a full-time dual-sport athlete. I split time between varsity soccer and elite track, competing at the highest levels on the East Coast, including the historic Penn Relays and New Balance Nationals.
By my senior year, my focus on the minutiae—block starts, foot placement, baton handoffs, and race strategy—turned me into an All-State competitor and a national qualifier. I took those hard-earned principles to the collegiate level, competing in track and field at Virginia State University, where we won two conference championships.
I know exactly what it takes to transition from a raw athlete into an elite, national-level competitor because I lived it.
Integrating the Mind and Body
My development didn't stop on the track. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. From there, I stepped into the behavioral health field, serving as a crisis intervention specialist and a supervisor for the 988 national lifeline, working extensively with children and teenagers.
This background gives Golden Athletics a unique edge that traditional clubs simply cannot replicate. Through years of professional experience in psychology and motivational interviewing, I have a deep understanding of youth behavior, mental toughness, and mindset optimization. I know how to speak to young athletes to pull the absolute best out of them, how to help them reframe challenges into positive perspectives, and how to build a curriculum that trains the mind just as intensely as the body.
My Promise to You
At Golden Athletics, we aren't just running drills. We are building the foundations of character through sport.
My promise to our parents and athletes is simple: If you show up with commitment and a dedication to not just getting better, but being a better person, I will put 100% of my energy, experience, and effort into you.
Let's get to work.
